Forgot Spectrum WiFi Password 

If you have forgotten your Spectrum WiFi Password, here is how you can recover it according to your operating system. 

  • On Your Router or Gateway

In case you never changed your default SSID(network name) and password, they might be mentioned on a label on the bottom of your router or gateway and may also be mentioned in your installation paperwork. 

  • On Windows 8.1 

Suppose your computer has Windows 8 operating system installed on it and is connected to your WiFi network. In that case, you can find your WiFi network name and password on your computer using the following steps.

  1. Open the Windows/Start menu. 
  2. Go to Network and Sharing Center. 
  3. Select Manage Wireless Networks. 
  4. Right-click your connected WiFi network. 
  5. Select Properties. 
  6. Select the Security tab. 
  7. Select Show characters. 
  • On Windows 10

Suppose your computer has Windows 10 operating system installed on it and is connected to your WiFi network. In that case, you can find your WiFi network name and password on your computer using the following steps. 

  1. Right-click the WiFi icon in the taskbar. 
  2. Select Open Network and Sharing Center. 
  3. Select your WiFi network name. 
  4. Select Wireless Properties. 
  5. Select the Security tab. 
  6. Select Show Characters. 
  • On Your Mac

To find your WiFi network name and password on your Mac, you are going to need the username and password for an account with administrator privileges on your Mac.

  1. Go to Applications and select Utilities. 
  2. Open the Keychain Access app. 
  3. Double-click your WiFi network name. 
  4. Select Show password. 
  5. Enter your Mac’s Username and Password. 
  6. Select Allow. 
  7. Password is in the Show password field.

Here is how you can change your WiFi network name (SSID) and Spectrum WiFi Password through Spectrum.net. 

  1. Create an account on Spectrum.net. 
  2. Sign in with username and password. 
  3. select “Internet” In “Your Services section”. 
  4. Find your gateway or router. 
  5. Select the blue down arrow.  
  6. Your SSID and password will be here. 
  • My Spectrum App 

Here is how you can change your Spectrum WiFi Password and WiFi network name (SSID) through the My Spectrum App. 

  1. Open the My Spectrum app. 
  2. Sign in to your Spectrum account. 
  3. Select Services. 
  4. Your SSID and password will be here. 
  5. Select Update to change SSID/password. 
  6. Enter a new network name or password. 
  7. Select Save Changes.
